Discover your voice

Discover YOUR voice, COmmand the space

Your voice is one of the most powerful tools you have, and learning to use it freely is what allows you to command the space, whether that’s a stage, a studio or a boardroom.

If you’re preparing for a role or stepping up to present, I’ll help you speak with clarity, confidence and presence.

With an MFA in Professional Voice Studies from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and my own background as an actor across theatre, film and voiceover, I help clients discover a voice that feels authentic, expressive and fully their own.

I’ve worked with acting students, professional actors, writers and directors from the UK and overseas.

I currently work at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as a voice and dialect teacher, alongside coaching individual clients in acting and public speaking.

Let me help you with...

Whether you’re preparing for a role, softening your accent, or learning a new one, I’ll help you understand how an accent works and how to use it with confidence. We’ll look at the sounds, rhythm and melody that give an accent its character, then practise them until they feel natural. I work with actors preparing for auditions and performances, and with people who want to speak English more clearly and comfortably.

Softening your accent or learning a new one, I’ll help you understand how an accent works and how to use it with confidence. We’ll look at the sounds, rhythm and melody that give an accent its character, then practise them until they feel natural. I work with actors preparing for auditions and performances, and with people who want to speak English more clearly and comfortably.

Speaking in front of others can feel daunting, but your voice is a skill you can train. I’ll help you speak with clarity and presence, and sound like the most confident version of yourself. We’ll work on breath, projection, pace and ease, so you can hold a room’s attention and say what you mean.

A good presentation is about how you say it as well as what you say. In our sessions, we’ll work on structuring your delivery, using your voice and body effectively, and handling nerves, so that you come across as clear, engaging and in control. Whether you’re pitching, leading a meeting or presenting to a large audience, I’ll help you prepare with practical, supportive coaching.

I've coached individual clients in acting and public speaking

My longstanding interest in voice led me to Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where I completed an MFA in Professional Voice Studies.

I've worked with acting students, professional actors, writers and directors from the UK and overseas, giving me a broad understanding of how to adapt to the needs of everyone in the room while keeping communication clear.

“Anna was brilliant! She helped me prepare for an elevator pitch for a scientific presentation, advising me on pitch variation and body language. I came away feeling much more confident and would definitely recommend her!”

Bonnie - Biochemistry Student

"Anna is a wonderful collaborator, her knowledge of voice and accent are second to none - and on top of that she is an entirely kind and collaborative presence in the rehearsal room. The actors immediately trusted her and I'd work with her again in a heartbeat"
